Crack in a thick round drawing part

This is a multi-stage deep drawing process of a thick circular blank in a manual insertion tool.

And the process indeed showed a big problem in OP30:

A crack in the part, more precisely a bottom tear!

This can be seen well in the animation, since more than the half of the elements in thickness are failing according to Stampack Safety Zones.

In OP60 and in OP80 you can also recognize a single failing layer of elements on the outer sides of the radii. This is only a little damage of the surface - a so-called ‘orange skin’ – and not critical.

So, this part could not be manufactured with this method and we needed to add 2 more stages to have more material available in the corner while deep drawing to make it work.
